Studi Karakteristik Limpasan Gelombang Overtopping pada Struktur Tanggul Laut

Abstract

Tanggul laut merupakan salah satu struktur bangunan pelindung pantai dari serangan gelombang. Berdasarkan studi terdahulu, salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan tanggul laut adalah gelombang yang melimpas pada tanggul laut (wave overtopping). Aliran yang terjadi di atas tanggul laut akibat variasi gelombang dan runup gelombang dapat menyebabkan ketidakstabilan struktur. Pada naskah hasil penelitian ini, disajikan hasil studi karakteristik gelombang dan aliran yang melimpas di atas tanggul laut dengan variasi gelombang datang dan sudut kemiringan struktur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemodelan uji numerik model tanggul laut dengan metode komputasi dinamika fluida (computational fluid dynamics) melalui perangkat lunak FLOW-3D. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan karakteristik gelombang pada variasi struktur tanggul laut dipengaruhi oleh volume aliran gelombang yang melimpas dan nilai bilangan Iribarren.
